God, our Creator, give us courage, let us be of one mind, make us righteous, thankful and proud.
Help the Métis to work together especially utilizing our Elders as teachers and preparing our youth for the future.
God provide us with direction and inspiration as we build a road for the Métis Nation in this Country.
We must have strong Métis families in order to have a strong Métis Nation.
Thank you and Amen.
Very few people have ever heard or known about the Metis American Indian people. The Metis are individuals who are descendants of the first people of the Americas that evolved from intermarriage of the people who came to the Americas from the continents to the east of the Atlantic ocean and west of the Pacific ocean. The Metis are proud people and they are many in numbers, yet only a few are willing to take a stand and demand their rights as American Indian citizens in the USA, Canada, Central America and South America.
The Metis Aboriginal Community/ Band are those who are seeking their God Given right to be recognized as Metis Citizens of the USA and Canada. We have filed our petition to the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Department of Interior for our rightful God Given recognition. We stand loyal to what belongs to us that others took away, by phoney excuses and false promises.
Indiana was not home to one specific Indian tribe, it had many . The Metis were recognized as signers of various treaties in Indiana territory and especially on the Vincennes treaty of 1732 . We strive to make certain our future generations will have a somewhat easier road to travel than what our struggles have been in the past and recent.
The Metis people are the only group of Native people who were never forcefully removed from their homelands. Those who deny the Metis are those who wish to continue the Holocost against Descendents of the First Aboriginal people of the Americas. We stand strong in our values and continue to fight the struggles presented towards us. " THIS IS OUR GOD GIVEN RIGHT ! "
